RITUAL STEEL – Interview with Sascha Maurer

“The silence stopped when we appeared with hunger in our eyes. The angels hid behind the clouds from our infernal cries. We stood as one and screamed aloud, our chests bloated by steam: We're burning to march on FOR VICTORY”

There was already quite loud around this German outfit in the underground circles, as guys kicked some major asses with their debut 7″ single “Orchid Queen”. They're full lenght debut release “A Hell Of A Knight” is still hot, so I decided to ask few, not necessary serious questions to Sascha Maurer, a hellish screamer of the Ritual Steel.

LIVIDITY – Interview with Dave

And now they come!!!! Now, you be in lustful embrace of LIVIDITY. They are sick, they have minds to pack porno and lecherous designs about your ass, a special pussy your girl he he. LUST OF DECAY – Interview with Steve Green

Just recently I had received a cd by the band Lust of Decay they hail from North Carolina in the United States. They play brutal death/ grind in the vein of Devourment, Lividity, and Dying Fetus. They have recently released their debut CD, “Infesting the Exhumed” on Comatose Music. Current members of LOD is, Steve Green/ guitar, backing vocals… Derek Haymore/ bass… Jordan Varela/ drums, backing vocals… and Jay Barnes/ vocals. This cd was a brutal assault on the nervous system with relentless bashing of instruments and some of the sickest hate filled vocals I’ve heard in a while. I got the chance to interview Steve Green the guitarist of the band, and here’s how it went.

DOMAIN – Interview with Paul

It's really a hard job to make Paul say more than just few words – one could say it's like Sysyphus rolling his stone all the way up the hill. Paul is a person not very talkative and whenever he opens his mouth to utter a word, he says whatever he wants to say at the moment. No smiles, no jokes, no cool acting…. It's clear charisma. Sometimes it sends shivers down your spine. He is aware of his position in polish underground. It seems like a miracle he agreed to answer few questions. As a person who makes music which so unpopular in Poland he managed to put a firm stamp on black metal. Well, he is what he is. I must say I'm very glad I had an opportunity to interview him. I'm even more glad when I think how much Domain's new material impressed me. So, you should pay more attention to the word which he doesn't say, but which he could have thought of…

WATERSHED – Interview with Artur

Fate is a strange thing. An experience that, among others, two members of the Swedish band Watershed have been subject to. They are namely Polish by origin. Furthermore you can read about the band, their inspirations, Solidarity (a Polish anti-communist workers union) and the Swedish underground. The vocalist Artur is being interviewed.

ZED YAGO / VELVET VIPER – Interview with Jutta Weinhold

Actually it doesn't matter if you are fan of Epic, Dark, Romantic or Heavy Metal. It also doesn't matter, if you are fan of female fronted Traditional Heavy Metal, or not. Why? Because I'm sure, that if you are just a bit deeper into Metal of the 80's, you know this premier German act known as ZED YAGO. Spv Records has just released double CD compilataion titled “Zed Yago From The Twilight Zone”, so I decided to ask ask few questions to owner of one of the mightiest female Metal voices ever. Ladies and gentlemen: Jutta Weinhold!

DARKANE – Interview with Klas Ideberg (guitarist) at The Tivoli, Helsingborg, Sweden.

I had a nice chat with an old acquaintance of mine the other day (well… night) and he happens to be Klas Ideberg, one of the riff-machines in the well-known Swedish band DARKANE. The guys have been around since the beginning of '98 when the band arose from the ashes of AGRETATOR – another great metal band from Helsingborg. It seems that Helsingborg, that also happens to be my hometown, is one of Sweden's leading metal cities.

FUTURISTIC THRASH-METAL AND THE 6TH SENSE

45 minutes left to the gig. DARKANE will perform 22:30 and it's a little hectic. I catch up with Klas backstage and he greets me wearing a black KILL SWITCH ENGAGE t-shirt and his characteristic smile. Klas says that it'll be a good idea to go to another room, namely ”Vinylbaren” – a cozy bar in the same complex. He is very calm and relaxed and the interview starts off right away. Klas puts in a ”snus” (tobacco) under his lip in a true Swedish fashion and sips on his beer. ”Expanding Senses” is DARKANE's 3rd album, released not that long ago, and we talk a little about the whole concept behind it.
