DELIGHT „Eternity”
This 9-tracker starts with a rock-fueled nu-metal riff in the vein of Papa Roach then followed by a powerful Life of Agony-like chorus… damn this is good stuff! The chick sings the chorus and it's really enjoyable as on the rest of the album. Every now and then she sings like Tori Amos or even Enya… she's not bitchin´ but singing.
DICK DELICIOUS AND THE TASTY TESTICLES „We Sold Our Souls For Wet Sloppy Holes”
Judging by the childish band name and the ugly CD cover I thought this would be some kind of Blink 182 sing-along pop-punkrock with stupid lyrics… I wasn't entirely wrong about the lyrics ; ) but the music these now-and-then masked American (or is it Canadian… their CD was printed in Canada) nuts play is in a heavier league than that.

DISSONANT „Darken The Hour E.P.”
Mainly nu-metal for sure with some modern death metal influences. Pretty much sounding like Deftones, Nothingface and In Flames.
CLOSER THAN KIN „Dead Flowers For A Dying Lover”
And what have we got here? A hybrid of Integrity (not my favorites) and Ignite (they sure rock!). Even the vocals shift between these two styles and the two guys behind the mics do a great job here and it sure is emotional.
CLOSER THAN KIN „The Machineries of Breath”
“CTK are a punk-hardcore band from Boston”… doesn't say much, does it? Very diverse stuff here. I've written a review of an earlier recording made by this band and I described them as a “hybrid of Integrity and Ignite”.
BRUTAL DELUXE „Mistah Kurtz… He Dead!”
I got very exited when this CD finally arrived. As a reviewer and part of the Metal Centre crew, I finally got contacted by a record company in order to get a promo! Wow!

AUDIOSLAVE „s/t”
I was really devastated when I realized that I would never experience another Soundgarden album. But what do we have here? A great substitute! Chris Cornell (Soundgarden's vocalist) joined forces with the remaining members of what used to be Rage Against the Machine.
ARTROSIS „Melange”
A Polish band that has evolved a lot since their early releases that I didn't enjoy that much. They have become one of the leading goth bands in Poland.

ACID DRINKERS „Broken Head”
I’ve followed this Polish band since the early 90’s and I found their music amusing and funny back then. They have always had a slightly twisted humor as well as a corny image.
