This 12 track album is nothing over the top and after a couple of songs it gets really tiring. It's goth rock but I've heard it all before and I have to say that Sisters of Mercy do it way better! To be honest this album has got some good qualities but the over-all impression is poor.
The guitar work is lacking some ideas I guess, and it all sounds too damn standard to me. There is also a slight touch of The Cranberries to the softer guitar parts and this is one positive thing in the otherwise boring style of the band! Another boring aspect to the music is the rigid 80's goth drum beat… with a sound and groove (joke!) like this they just could've had replaced the drummer by a drum machine.
The vocals are the weakest link. This chick sounds horrible: the accent is irritating (this is a Polish band) and the vocal qualities aren't impressive. The best parts are the opera-like ones but mostly she just sounds very “bitchy” in her harsh way of singing.
In other words: nothing I would recommend.
