The speech of Aaron form Extreme Metal project DAVOLA

“So I’ve had a little wine tonight and I guess it’s contributing to the fact that I can’t contain my excitement right now. Finally after all my nitpicking and second guessing, the mix for the first single off of the new record is being prepped. After six years since the inception of this record, I’ve dealt with setback after setback. From constant moving, to toxic relationships, to struggling as an independent working musician, to insane cab drivers breaking your arm so you can no longer track that guitar solo you were planning to, to being broke, to chronic anxiety, to depression, to amazing highs that even though I wouldn’t change if I could go back, were in actuality a distraction. Through all of that, honestly the one thing I held on to the most was the music I was making that I felt so passionately about. Inspiration for these songs came from the most unlikely of locations. From Dublin, NH, to Bologna, Italy to Gilbert, AZ to Union City, NJ to Queens, NY. These songs were well travelled. The process of making this record has been such an ordeal and the 6 years invested has served to intensify just how emotional my attachment to it is. After years of thinking this would never happen….it’s finally happening. A special thank you to my friends that have made a contribution one way or another to this album and of course the amazing fans that have shown constant support for what I do. This record is everything to me. I can’t wait to share it with you.” – Aaron
