Cool songs: everything!

BURNING BLACK has been founded in 2003 by Giovanni and Massimo and their objective was to play the straight and classical heavy metal. The band line up has changed recently, new bass guitarist and soloist reinforced the weakened group in 2005 and 2007. nowadays the band are looking for a label and promoting their last album ‘Fight To Dream’.

P-O-W-E-R! this word describes the release by BB. This three-track album is a classic representative of heavy metal, in its best form. It is a pity that it lasts for only twelve minutes! Really, believe me, that after the first track you will feel the thirst for more. This album just squeezes into the armchair and crushes the brain cells with its power. It is fast, melodic, dynamic, powerful, compact and it is done with huge dose of imagination. The ideas used are not repeated (not a big deal, it is a three-track album) and make the listener enjoy the music. There is that constant feeling that the musicians from BURNING BLACK treat their potential fans extremely seriously, they do not want to sell them any ordinary Tom, Dick or Mary. This music is very good, an experienced ear will hear some elements similar to JUDAS PRIEST or METAL CHURCH, especially in Massimo’s voice – that high-pitched hoarse vocal is absolutely fantastic. In my humble opinion, such vocalize is the best one for such music. Moreover, ‘Fight To Dream’ (the title track to be more precise), has got some elements similar to RUNNING WILD’s ‘Victim of States Power’ from ‘Gates To Purgatory’ album. It is a wonderful dose of raw metal, which can make your heart grow fonder.

BURNING BLACK did a great job by recording this album. It proves that they are ready to get on the metal scene and kick some asses really hard! This will not be the ‘Colossus of Rhodos’, their legs are not made of clay. They are pure metal and this will make them survive. Nothing new, but served in a way, that makes all of those who were before, look and sound very pale.
