Despised Icon is a Montreal brutal Death band and “The Healing Process” is their fourth release, this time on Century Media Records. It's hard, blast beating, pounding, screaming Death with a duel vocal assault. If you like Dying Fetus type pounding , then you'll be up for this.
“Bulletproof Scales” and “Silver Plated Advocate” pretty much set the tone for the entire cd. Screaming high and low with duel vocals, heavy pounding rhythms, and blasting drum kicking. It's relentless throughout. “Immaculate” all the way through to “End This Day”. If you eat brutality for breakfast, give this a taste. “The Sunset Will Never Charm Us” and “As Bridges Burn” will certainly satisfy your appetite.
