CEREBRAL EFFUSION „Violence in Motion”

CEREBRAL EFFUSION „Violence in Motion” - okładka

Cerebral Effusion’s Violence In Motion is what it says with their first release for Unmatched Brutality Records. What a great way to start their relationship. Unmatched Brutality should be smiling with this release.
It is grinding and heavy as shit throughout the 9 song onslaught.
Guttural vocals throughout. They were what I expected, but I did not expect the screams that sneak up on you during the songs. They will make the hair on your neck stand erect. Hell they’ll scare the shit out of you at first listen.
The guitar work is the normal grinding sound. During the heavy mid tempo parts of the songs there are some cool riffs that would send die-hard death metal fans into fist swinging frenzy. They defiantly had me nodding my head with acceptance. Not a lot of solo’s, but you do hear some guitar runs here and there.
I really like the bass work on this release. Easy to hear and provides Cerebral Effusion with a deep low end that adds to their heaviness. It definitely gives some of the riffs a real thick sound.
All the good bass and guitar work is solidified by some great drum work. Great blast beats, rolls and double bass. I like listening to all the instruments on a disc, but I found that a challenge, because there is so much going on during the songs. Which to me is a good thing, because no instrument overwhelmed the other. Other than the scream that I talked about before
Mixing wise, I think they have one of the most unique sounds that I have heard. I can’t explain it, but it is defiantly different than anything I have ever heard. It is a very thick sound that doesn’t seem to distort when the volume is turned up.
I don’t think you’ll find this release easily, maybe you will. I do feel that it is a must have for those who like heavy, thick, death metal.
