The beginning of THE END OF ROSALINA

“Black Smoke”, the debut album from Danish powerhouse The End Of Rosalina, is 11 tracks with a tasty mixture of influences. The song structure along the lines of Foo Fighters, and the gravitas of Clutch and guitar harmonies worthy of Thin Lizzy. The soundscape combining the virtues of seventies rock and modern rock. Fronted by Jakob Riis, telling stories of trivial fates, and of everyday struggles from which we all want to flee at times. Brothers Simon Edwardsen on drums and Steffan Ravn Edwardsen on bass, set a steady foundation, while the lead guitar is skilfully handled by Michael Knudsen.

This record takes us on a journey through a universe populated by the dreams of caricaturized people, their experiences, and the consequences thereof. Touching on everything from the teenage fuelled sex drive of a young man, to obsession, escapism and loss. The aim of the album is to offer identifiable themes and situations, so that the listener can find some comfort in the fact that we are all equally crazy.

The End of Rosaline have worked their asses off over the last 3 years, getting every detail right, resulting in 11 intense, expressive, dynamic songs. The album was written and recorded in their home studio, situated in the garage at the childhood home of the Edwardsen brothers, granting them the time required to fine polish each track. The authentic 70’s setting of the studio is almost tangible throughout the album.

Mixed by Søren Andersen (Medley Studios, Electric Guitars, D-A-D) and mastered by Emil Thomsen (ET Mastering – Turboweekend, Nephew among others), the production is second to none.

“No Suit is Suitable” is the first single and video from the album and it was released in August and have so far reached over 15.000 views on Youtube and was premiered by biggest National music video Gaffa.
