Finnish SATANIC WARMASTER has existed from 1998 year. The band had the five years of pause in publication of their albums and recently the band released the fourth album – “Nachzehrer”…
…From a deep chasm of hell “Something” clearly tried to penetrate to our dimension… Some mysterious sounds and voices flowing from Intro announced this event… I do not know what would be if the “Something” would haunt my world … Surely the stories from Necronomicon influenced for my experience during listening of the Intro… The coming sounds excited my imagination additionally… the animal scream, sharp guitar riffs, strongly rumbling drums, variables of pace and sometimes the dark keyboards accents… However SATANIC WARMASTER showed his compositions pretty archaic. And it is audible in garage sound of the recording… Twenty years ago I would be delighted such expression of demoniacal Black Metal … the rage, fury and the bestiality … The aggressive approach to arrangement… The simplicity of expression and the melancholy melodies (but simultaneously sharp)… Sometimes in pagan tone… In some moments I heard style of NS Black Metal or Pagan Metal … and other time like the first recording of DARKTHRONE or BATHORY… The last track brought the relief but and also the nostalgia… the prelude of keyboards with the recitation to music full of inspiration…
SATANIC WARMASTER presented dark and demonic, ominous hymns… It is a pity that the material has so weak sound. Maybe it is intentional effect to bring closer the climate of Underground. And maybe it was caused by the lack of equipments?… Additionally Northern Heritage released the album on the vinyl.
