BLASPHEME has existed from 1981 year supposedly! This is the large piece of time! But in 1986 year the break-up of band has happened and they just returned in 1997 year for one concert. The band again hung up the activity and they appeared just in 2008 year in Paris at France Metal Festival. In years 80 the band has released the two demo, one single as well as two albums – “Blaspheme” and “Desir de Vampyr”… At present the band returned with the newest album (with almost unchanged the line-up. The drummer Aldrick Guadagnino is new member).

This time I will review something more the classic. Anyway the beginnings of the band reach 80th years and it is obvious, that BLASPHEME's music oscillates around Heavy Metal subjects with the small elements of Hard Rock. Although BLASPHEME possesses the very original an accent, which are the French-speaking lyrics, which give special climate for the music. Since several years I feel some fondness to every French-speaking projects and this time is the same. Some time ago I listened old French Prog-Rock band – ELOHIM which the vocals were similar.

The music flowing from “Briser le silence” is very dynamic – I would say – it is gallopping and by the way – is very melodious. In the music I hear the many inspirations of classic Metal, full of spontaneity and Heavy Metal quarrelsomeness. Some slower motifs reminded me accomplishments of British SABBAT and CANDLEMASS (mainly the sound of the vocal and melodies). However BLASPHEME presents faster music. And other motifs reminded me IRON MAIDEN even (mainly guitar-vocal expressions, during of vocalist's hums “Ooo Ooo Ooooo …”, hahaha …). The romantic ballads – “Ultime Errance” and “Memories” (instrumental outro) also appeared on the album. These works showed very romantic climate, which appeared among the sharper Heavy Metal playing .

BLASPHEME creates very sublime music, full of energetic melody and French romanticism.
