CHRISTOPHER is a lad from Toronto, who in some way discovered, that most conventions and current musical climates are quite disagreeable. This fantastic thought pushed him to create his own work (as a classically trained guitarist he has got all the essential backup to do so). In 2001 he released ‘wer Next Project’ which was described as “truly remarkable piece of work.”. Now, he presents his newborn child: ‘Smoke And Origination’.

And I believe, that this album is quite an original one. What I mean is, that it is hard to understand this music if someone is a metal fan, close to any kind of it. It is so, because of one crucial thing – it is a mixture of different kinds of types of music, from industrial with some elements of rock, to ethnic and folk. The sound palette is very broad, nearly everyone should find here something interesting, and this is a big plus for CHRISTOPHER, because this variety of instruments (from guitars and cellos to electronic devices) allows people to choose. Though this does not mean, that the album is absolutely fantastic. And to be frank, it is not. What is more, it is simply too heavy and complicated for someone quite straightforward. It seems that the artist aimed at a special type of audience, with very high aesthetic sense and from some elites. Any other listener can easily get lost in that mess. As the title suggest, before listening, smoke some weed.

CHRISTOPHER recorded an album which is very hard to classify. This is an original piece of art, containing many concepts and ideas, but it is simply too much. He simply overdid, because the major part of this album is really a hard nut.
