HUMAN TAXIDERMY „s/t”

HUMAN TAXIDERMY „s/t” - okładka
Music: Death metal
Duration: 32:08 (9 tracks)

Cool Songs: Accelerated negative motion, The subtraction theory, suicide agenda.

This is more like it, a bit of brutal death metal done the Dying Fetus way. According to the web site all the instruments and vocals are performed by the same person, although obviously not at the same time. The production is pretty solid with all instruments well up in the mix, even the drums. I could honestly sit and listen to this for hours and not get bored of it so that should give you an idea of how good it is.

This album harks back to the glory days of Dying Fetus when they released Purification through violence and Killing on Adrenaline. If you own those two albums you will know straight away what I am talking about. This is super brutal full of fat riffs, pounding drums and guttural vocals. When this type of music is done properly, it can’t be beaten and should be enjoyed for what it is.

I must take my hat off to Anthony Roark. He has made me sit up and listen and also made me realise that there is plenty of life left in the old death metal machine.

Track five is a bit if a shock after the pummelling moments of the first four tracks but is good to see that Anthony isn’t afraid to experiment with a track which sits perfectly with the rest of the album.

As an old friend use to say “very very nice indeed”!!
