Haha… Here is the example how the feelings can be subjective and different during the listening of the same material… Colleague Ensifer had also opportunity to listen I DECLINE “Time To Shine” and to write a different review, although the final effect is approximate…

“Time To Shine” is third album of the American quintet. I do not know their earlier accomplishments but the present album portrays interesting fusion of several species of Rock music.

On the beginning of the album I heard the strong breath of Californian Punk Rock (with melodious simplicity and spontaneity) as well as Hard Core (with uproarious dynamics). However the clear phrases of Stoner Metal joined after moment (with heaviness and specific melodies together with complex motifs of bass guitar). And what was my surprise when the subjects of Heavy Metal appeared (with aggression but and with pathos)…

The tracks cleverly connect completely different regions of Rock music, surprising curiously, although the patents of Stoner Metal overweigh clearly here. Despite this stylistic variety – the solid sound and dark singing (sometimes reminding the singing of Ozzy Osbourne) as well as full fury screams joins the whole… Powerful strength, heaviness, energy, dynamism and dark melodies are created by strong instrumentarium with vocal phrases (enriched by backing singers)… The arrangements contain many solutions – the the guitar's solos, the changes of pace and even the elements of ballad .

I DECLINE produced splendid muse's bit. Both fans of THE OFFSPRING, OZZY OSBOURNE, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and even MANOWAR foundling in this music something for themselves.
