REQUIEM „The Arrival”

REQUIEM „The Arrival” - okładka

This CD was given to me in the form of a Cdr. so I am sorry to say that I cannot offer band member names. This is a disc that was very enjoyable to listen to. This band offers up a very progressive sound that is rich and thick with inspirations from some very big bands such as RHAPSODY, & STRATOVARIUS, with a little bit of early GAMMA RAY, The only real bad point of the whole CD are the vocals. The vocals are very rich and clean but tend to be overplayed on the whole disc. If the vocalist would just not push so hard and just relax I do believe he would come across a lot more easy to listen to. As for the rest of the band they are very impressive with there sound. The keyboards are very well played and are in the RHAPSODY vain. The bass and drum line are thick and rich in there sound and lay a good foundation for some very impressive guitar work. The guitar is played at a level that reminds me of YNGWIE MALMSTEEN. At times getting a little long winded but in all very impressive sound. Any one that is a fan of any of the four bands mentioned here will like this disc minus the vocals which seem to hold the disc back a bit and that is why I can only give this disc a 7 out of 10. This would be a great disc if not for the vocals.
