The Swedish metal band MARIONETTE will release its fourth studio album Propaganda on February 3rd 2016. The first music video for “Grey Masses Gather” is available now.

MARIONETTE is a metal sextet from Gothenburg active since 2005. Since its last album – Nerve (2011) – the band has gone in a new direction striving for a heavier, more personalized sound. After years of work toward this vision the fourth studio album Propaganda was born. Marionette is now ready to hit the roads and spread its propaganda across the world!

Propaganda ? New studio album (February 3rd, 2016)

Propaganda deals with the political situation in Europe and the growing support for extremist ideas. The songs are highlighting concepts such as the corrupting nature of political power, the influence a charismatic leader can have on citizens, as well as the consequences of this phenomenon. One of the ideas behind the album is to present the band as a satirical political party.
The album was produced and mixed by the band and Carlos Sep?lveda from Belly of the Whale Studios in Gothenburg. The music video for the opening track “Grey Masses Gather” was made by the previous vocalist and long time collaborator Axel Wid?n.
