The Swedish BATTERING RAM burst into in like an battering ram but with rock’n’roll grace…

The compositions are very plucky and vigorous, as befits in hard-rock music. And at the same time they are quite melodious. With melodies and melodic choruses that are catchy. Many of them are very lively, stimulating to motorial experience of the music. You can say that these songs are very live for live.

Some arrangements refer to heavy-metal themes, and the lowered tune of guitars increases the heaviness of the whole and gives it the features of modernity, contemporary sound in rock-metal music. Although the most guitar riffs and structures and solos are kind of modeled on the 1980s. There are also more dynamic themes, even thrash-metal ones. They sound quite powerful with this lowered sound.

The vocal is also classically. The melodiously recited and shouted phrases freely intertwine with melodious singing. Some vocal accents have features similar to vocal mannerisms in the style of James Hatfield.

The songs are very catchy, melodic and at the same time heavy, with dynamics developing. And the song “Cut In Two” with their lyrics could be boldly nominated for the so-called “Metal anthem”…

Subjectively, I can point out similarities to METALLICA, MÖTLEY CRÜE and JUDAS PRIEST but there would be more. So as you can see BATTERING RAM doesn’t focus one fortress but rams them one by one.
