MANIGANCE plays over 15 years. Gentlemen recorded the four full albums … While reading the information from the last album “Recidive” I thought MANIGANCE is another typical band – playing Power Metal, following the conceptions of HAMMERFALL, RHAPSODY, EDGUY and SONATA ARCTICA. But I was surprised when I heard the singing in French. It really sounds great! French is stereotypically very romantic language and it is perfectly integrated with phrases of Power Metal – very dynamic, full of energy and the heavy guitars, the masterly solos of the guitars and the keyboards as well as melancholic melodies.

Although the influences of HAMMERFALL STARTOVARIUS were audible here but MANIGANCE has own proposals for Power Metal with additions in style Progressive Neoclassical Metal… The heavy motifs, glassy solos, the atmospheric keyboards, the strong drums and the nostalgic vocals (with burst of passions) create predatory dark melancholic mood – very thrilling. The music from “Recidive” is very melodic and extensive thematically. It give strong kick but it also can soothe (especially in the ballad's moments).

The album also includes the instrumental track, which is true masterpiece of Progressive Neoclassical Metal. The track is masterfully arranged and performed.

Power Metal has own rules, so the lot of pathos and catchy melodies as well as catchy vocal phrases are in the music of MANIGANCE . I think MANIGANCE should find its place on the shelf with an ambitious Power Metal.
