Taara, avita! Help us, Taara! An old, thirteenth century warchant supports the Estonian super-group. THARAPHITA, the ancient Estonian god of war has been helping the band since 1995. ‘Iidsetel Sünkjatel Radadel’ is the fourth child of the musicians, and there are very visible signs, that their pagan god also had something to do with it.

The Estonian veterans of pagan black metal have done it again – once more they hand in perfectly prepared material, with rich content and fascinating sound. Again, there are fleshy and extremely powerful riffs, building the atmosphere of obese force, smashing the back, just like the earth crushes the Atlas’s back. Subtle, but audible keyboards provide a melodic web, on which the black metal spider awaits its prey. Hundreds of varied sounds and motifs are trapped in this web, and thanks to it, a wonderful black symphony juice is sucked out of them – luckily, the musicians share this liquid with us, therefore the magnetic sound is released to the world. This short album contains electrifying music, from extremely fast and incomprehensible metal, to fantastic, developed melodic sections, which bring to mind more progressive approach. Thanks to such richness THARAPHITA manages to kick metal world in its most sensible sphere, so that it creates even more intensive sound.

THARAPHITA got used their fans to very interesting, good and out of the ordinary albums. This one is not an exception, as it is like a swarm of hornets trapped in a jar – when let out, they will sting to death.
