Cool songs: Extermination in Existence
The band was formed in 2002, in Santiago, Chile, and it took them three years to record the first demo Descending of the Fire Hordes, which is quite fast. Two years later, in 2007, the band released their first full-length album, titled Glorification of the Antichrist.
The greatest weakness of this album is this album. It is as complicated, various and innovative, as a straight line, painted in the middle of the road. And everything goes according to this line: sometimes nervously and anxiously, with some choking pauses, sometimes it is a raw ride without handling. The problem is, that in each composition, the main elements appear exactly in the same places, for example, the growl-yell, which is opening every composition, sounds the same, over and over again, and remains in an unchanged position measuring the timing with a stopwatch revealed, that it is always the same moment. The riffs are also repeated, they contribute to the whole circus of clown-like performance. But there is power, still, though it is an obligatory element in such productions, so it is not an excuse. No variety and ideas lead to a quick catastrophe, when the listener switches the music off, after ten minutes of listening.
Glorification of the Antichrist is an album, which is not suitable gift for your black metal partner. If you buy such thing, he or she, will definitely dump you. OCCIDENS should sacrifice more virgins and pray louder to their gods, otherwise they will not play as satans support, when he finally strikes our world.
