Cool Songs: Cry For Eternity, The Flame of Youth, Trail of Broken Hearts
Extreme Power Metal is considered one of the “uneasy” genre. It requires special elements like, strong voice, with fast drums and fingers move like the speed of wind and made of gold. This band gather all these elements. The vocals suit so much this band. He is following up so good and I myself wonder, how he does that? But well….this is his job and this is how he is considered “Talented”.
The absolute and blind priority is given to the guitars, even more the vocals himself. The names of “Sam Totman ” and “Herman Li” need to be remembered very well, coz soon, you will get to hear of them a lot as cool, incredibly and unbelievable fast guitarists. Haven't heard such a speed except rarely! I guess they are blasting energy inside of them. But their real talent showed in more slower way in “Trail of Broken Hearts”.
The drummer was stunning. Pretty fast and pretty talented. He knows when to stop and when to go on.
There is just one thing I wished this band could have achieved in this cool album which was, “giving space to the keyboardist more than that” I can barely feel his existence although he is backing the music so good. Because he is so essential, I don't think that they would have made it without him, but I wish that they could give him more space, coz he is talented and he needs to prove that. “Trail of Broken Hearts” was “somehow” his space-song…but still not enough.
In my opinion, this album is very nice, you should get if you are fan of Power or even Extreme Power Metal. It's a good model for this genre..
