GNARLY DUDE! is as the compilation of 13 bands which love skateboarding (I think so). Therefore the whole material is the explosive mix of all sorts and kinds bands playing different musical species, to begin from punk rock, hard core, metal across rock'n'roll, stoner rock and having finished in hip-hop, techno, electro, drum'n'bass until to dub or indie.
The mixture is goods really because every should find something for himself here. Personally I like more stronger knocks from the CD. The knocks mostly are characterized lively, very active parties of guitars, rhythmical section and vocals . Those punk-rock-metal accents magnificently reflect breakneck acrobatic tricks of skatemen (I think so, because I am not skateman, hahaha). The bands from this circle remind me old school music style, e.g. LOW LIFE UK, AK RIOT, SICK 56 or on the contrary – remind me nu metal patents, e.g. MISHKIN, SPINBOX or WORM.
Equally dynamic and quick trance serves belong to motives techno and drum'n'bass here (SPINFIRE). And since speech about trance, we will find here dark, very climatically electro-techno piece in realization of SNOWDOME, which its sounds pulsate gently and sail out from loudspeakers. And since speech about pulsation, hahaha , then I think here about e.g. hip-hop's song of STREEM remindful me EMINEM.
On the end I say about merry tone in realization of Burt Cokain & NIRBANANA really remindful merry country music or blue grass
so, you will take your board and carry on!!!
