“Electricmegablack” is the second album of Spanish musicians. I admit that the music contained on the disc presents a rather unusual dose of sounds, although very accessible, easy to perceive, full of vigor and dynamism and at the same time a bit dark and also a litlle climatic.

Initially, my associations with the music went towards MEGADETH, sometimes towards METALLICA (from the “Load” and “Reload” periods). But I think it was wrong… Because when I was more opening up to these compositions and the material was more audible, then I began to strengthen my thinking in similarities to PANTERA and even to BLACK LABEL SOCIETY or even ALICE IN CHAINS…

There are groove patents clearly heard – heavy, dynamic and rhythmic guitar-percussive strikes and those characteristic (for PANTERA) riffs and playing structures… the solo accents (not only groove but also in southern metal style like BLACK LABEL SOCIETY). In addition dirt, melancholy, melody and climate of grunge joined to this. And even sometimes industrial-metal motifs was appeard.

At the end of the material there are clear chordal passages, almost ballad sounds. “The Power of Healing” is a very exciting ballad, which is classic for rock and metal ballads.

MAD-ERA extends its wings widely…
