Country: France

France is known for many things besides the Eiffel Tower. The country is known for its diverse music culture among which, Metal, stands tall. Notable bands like Gojira, Deathspell Omega, Alcest and many others, French Metal scene is easily one of the best within the realm of metal. Moreover, the French metal scene is only growing bigger and bigger over time with many newer bands emerging out to eventually find mainstream stardom.

Among such bands, Titans Fall Harder is a potential band who are capable of pleasing audience around the world with their genre-bending sound which boasts both uniqueness and creativity. The band released their debut EP, “Evolve” back in 2015, which introduced the band’s sound to the world. They remained secretive until 2017, when they re-released their EP and reportedly got back to the studio for recording newer stuff.

In 2019, the band made a mammoth announcement to their fans by sharing the news of their very first Full-length album, “Heavy Lies This Life”. The interesting part about the band is that they are sonically very diverse and they tend to give each and every single element in their music its own attention. It ensures that nothing is buried in the mix.

The second track in specific, “Mk G.O.L.I.a.T.H” is all over the place when it comes to genre. It starts off with a Symphonic lead and slowly progresses into a djenty-metalcore song and ultimately concluding with an electronic breakdown. Like mentioned before, each and every single element ranging from the upbeat electronic background to the symphonic lead, everything has its own importance rather than keeping them in the background and focussing on the guitars alone.

The next few tracks were all diverse but if there’s a particular track that piqued my interest, then it would be the three-part song, “Ruled By Destiny”. There are three distinct parts for the same, entitled, “Fires Fade”, “Heavy Lies This Life” and “The Harder We Fall” respectively. The longest of them being the title track, which has a total running time of 7 minutes. All these songs have a strong symphonic background and my favourite one being the title track’s opener, which is a catchy sympho-djentic breakdown that is hard not to bang your head to.

Overall, Titans Fall Harder is a band that have all the goods to hit the metal industry with all guns blazing. “Heavy Lies This Life” is a solid proof for my predicament. Their unique take on Symphonic/Metalcore blend will definitely please those in search for something fresh. I wouldn’t hesitate to show my friend this album and talk about for the next hour or two, to explain the reason why I think Titans Fall Harder is going to become a household name in Metal industry!
