SVARTBY „Kom I Min Kittel”
I am not an almighty knower of the Russian music. Ive heard some Tchaikovskys or Rimsky-Korsakovs music when I was younger, but Ive never paid much attention to their folk metal scene (and that is a big no-no).

COMATOSE VIGIL „Not a Gleam of Hope”
Here we have another solid doom band from Russia bearing the mark of Stygian Crypt. Not a Gleam of Hope is a most-fitting album title for the type of funeral doom this group creates.
AMBER TEARS „Revelations of Renounced”
Russian group AMBER TEARS prefers to be described as pagan doom metal. The group proves this claim to be true right from the opening intro, which features a menagerie of natural sounds such as bird calls and the sound of angry winds. What sounds like a synthetic bag pipe cuts into the call of the wild.
