ELYSION from sunny Greece have been around since 2006. At first they tried to make right with a male singer Maxi Nil, but in 2008 they adopted a female owner of a beautiful voice, Christianna.

Since “Comalies” made them metal household names in 2002, LACUNA COIL have proved that they are not – to paraphrase the opinions of pretty much every popular music magazine – in any way comparable to other female fronted bands on the scene, namely NIGHTWISH or EVANESCENCE. Frontwoman and object of many a metalheads lust Cristina Scabbia and her male cohorts (yes, there are some guys in the band too, who knew?) have a string of successful albums to their name and, unlike a certain aforementioned commercial, one hit wonder, pop rock band, they didnt feel the need to dangle Cristina off the side of a building in her nightie to make them sell.

Kiedyś miałem fazę na niemiecki gotyk/darkwave i mi trochę z tego zboczenia zostało. Gatunek jest to dosyć trudny w odbiorze, co może potwierdzić szeroka rzesza kurwiących na niego małolatów machających głowami przy tróó Slejerze czy innym Mejemie.
EILERA „Fusion”
I am confused. This album sounds like DIDO with ocassional metal riffing and double bass drum parts mixed with techno, electro.

ASRAI „Touch In The Dark”
The Dutch band ” Asrai” is a gothic rock band that sounds like Evanescence, and Lacuna Coil. I admire so much the female vocals.
FULL BLOWN ROSE „Demo”
Trzy kawałki (“Only You”, “The Longest Day”, “Somebody Help Me”), które do mnie dotarły wielu mogłoby zaskoczyć ponieważ znacznie odbiegają od typowego metalu. Raczej rzekłbym, że muzyka jaką proponuje nam FULL BLOWN ROSE to rock z wpływami gotyku czy nu metalu, co miejscami kojarzy mi się z EVANESENCE, NO DOUBT, SKUNK ANANSE, czy też odrobinę z THE GATHERING.

The three pieces (“Only You”, “The Longest Day”, “Somebody Help Me”) which ones I got, the tracks would can to surprise many persons because the tunes run away from typical metal considerably. I would say rather that the music what proposed to us by FULL BLOWN ROSE is rock with influences of gothic or nu metal.

I must admit Ive never been a huge fan of Swedens Lake of Tears. Not that I dont think theyre any good, its just that Ive never gone out of my way to purchase any of their material.
