DIVINE EVE „Vengeful and Obstinate”

Although Texan band DIVINE EVE has been around since 1992, their name probably isn't familiar to most of us. Until 1995 they recorded two self-financed demos and an EP called “As the Angels Weep,” but then DIVINE EVE disbanded and the leader Xan Hammack moved to California to record the debut album under a new name CRIMSON RELIC, while the other members turned to their own projects.

No other album has been listened more insistently by my ears in the last months than “For Lies I Sire”. Thus it might be impossible to make an objective review of it, but which one has ever been objective? We're not scientists or art critics, we just tell what we thought while listening to certain album and what bands came to our head; that's the great chance this music and this time give us.
