DUST TO DUST „Sick”
I actually became aware of Dust To Dust from the Capcom video game (head to head fighting) Heavy Metal Geomatrix which used a handful of songs off D-T-D's self-titled debut as a soundtrack along with material from other artists from the Sanctuary/Metal-Is roster Halford, Megadeth, W.A.S.P., Entombed and a few others. Prior to the game I had a sampler CD containing a few tracks off Dust To Dust's debut, but I never really paid much attention to this group before the game.
DAGOBA „s/t”
Let's be honest, you can count the number of good French metal bands on the fingers of a very deformed hand. Of course, there's the excellent Scarve and Tripod and on the technical death metal side there's the underrated Carcariass, but never has a band stood a chance of success than in the case of Dagoba.
DANCE ON GLASS „Daydreaming”
This is a project run by Dave Blomberg (New Model Army) and Anna Blomberg (former Batalion D'Amour). Dave takes care of the music and Anna sings.
DARK FORTRESS „Profane Genocidal Creations”
Profane Genocidal Creations is Dark Fortress' second album, after Tales From Eternal Dusk. PGC really is a masterpiece, all Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir and Dissection fans, eat this!
.
DARK MOOR „Between Light And Darkness”
Actually I had never been fan of DARK MOOR and that whole New Wave Of Euro Power Metal. I like few of those bands, like let's say WHITE SKULL, FREEDOM CALL, STEEL ATTACK, IRON FIRE or some HAMMERFALL tunes, but most of those bands sounds like next HELLOWEEN / STRATOVARIUS clones, and it in most cases they sound too similar to each other…
DARK TRANQUILLITY „Damage Done”
Dark Tranquillity, At The Gates, Soilwork and In Flames are THE bands that created the Gothenburg sound (also called Swedish or Melodic Death Metal) some years ago, and found the path that is nowadays being followed by many other bands like Norhter and Killswitch Engage.

DARK TRANQUILLITY „Damage Done”
I have definitely been damaged by the sixth opus from the mighty and underrated Dark Tranquillity. It is really a pleasure to be able to hear something so refreshing, deep, aggressive and well done in the same package.
DARK TRANQUILLITY „The Gallery”
This album seems (or it's just plain reality?) to have more melodies than simple metallic riffs. It's just an amazing and astonishing album! For the newcomers, Dark Tranquillity it's one of the pioneers of the “gothenburg” sound (or it is “goteborg”?) that born in Sweden at the beggining of the 1990's.
DARKANE „Expending Senses”
Damn, NO songs on this album that jump out, the album in itsself is just a jump-out! Yeah, this is what I wanted, this is wat I needed, this is what allays my hunger for good music! Melodic, heavy and thrashy. Adrenaline filled tracks that hit you like a fist in your face (as they should).
DARK DISCIPLE „Under The Inverted Cross”
DARK DISCIPLE are a band that hails from baltimore MD. The only works this band has to offer is in the form of a small demo cd intitled UNDER THE INVERTED CROSS.
