The first term of the band's name is the very good reflection of the contained music on this album. Really this is “chaos”, although it is a controlled chaos. However the second term – “conspiracy” – has not musical reflection for the presented music, because this music is very courageous, it does not to lie in wait and surely sharply as well as distinctly demonstrates itself for listener. And I think “conspiracy” has something common with the concerts of team. The musicians cover their faces by woollen caps or medical masks…
But we come back to the music… The music of CHAOS CONSPIRACY is the instrumental demonstration of progressive music sunken in dimension of Rock-Hardcore-Funk with the elements of different musical species.
As I mentioned at the beginning – The works are only seemingly chaotic. This contains the conglomerate of many musical themes – the variations of guitars and drums – from the sharp and heavy motives of Hardcore (making the aggression and the revolt) across the lively rhythms and the licks of guitar of Funk till the climatic insertions or the psychedelic motives in style of Alternative Rock.
These majority of subjects are alternate mutually very cleverly. This makes the impression of cohesion. However I assure you – if you want to get to know in 100% this album then you should listen its several times. Though, I feel the lack of vocal parties here despite this whole virtuosity. Although the serves of Jazz (a woodwind instrument) diversified significantly the second half of album.
The instrumental patents of RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE sometimes are audible in the music of CHAOS CONSPIRACY (eg. in rhythmics, riffs, guitar buzzes and in guitar's effects).
