City of Gothenburg hides the next band, which from the 2003 cultivates the melodic variation of extreme playing.
ONE WITHOUT has modern approach to his musical creativity, which is the coherent mixture of Gothic Metal with Melodic Death Metal… And I admit I really liked it. Especially that many themes reminded me of old THE GATHERING (especially – the female's vocals and the guitar's heaviness) … I am not surprised such an approach to the arrangement, because as you know, Sweden is the cradle of Melodic Death Metal, which is clearly audible in the compositions of WITHOUT ONE.
“Sweet Relief” shows the ferocity and aggression of Death Metal combined with a melancholy atmosphere saturated by the darkness. In this way the music takes on a wider dimension, it is very spatial, especially when there are very melodic and romantic solos with heavy riffs, enriched by the clean guitar arpeggios as well as the accents of electronic samples. These samples more underline the modern tone of the whole.
Sometimes the music is very melancholic, free and climatic (especially during the singing of vocalist and the guitar solos) and after a while to blend with the violent themes which are underlined by mighty riffs and also the predatory vocals screams. The simultaneous combination of both colors of vocals leads to emotional culmination in the works.
This music simultaneously crushes you and soothes. ONE WITHOUT neatly connected the delicacy and the lightness with the crushing force and with the energy.
