These, which step out against themselves are the representatives of new wave of Grunge with strong influences of Hardcore. At present Hardcore belongs to very varied musical sort, because it assembles many traces of different species wide comprehended of Rock. In case of OPPOSITE SELF – there are rather strong influences of Hardcore and small influences of Classic Rock or even Stoner Rock. However the breath of Grunge is the most audible here with typical rhythmics together with heaviness balancing among aggression and calmer emotions.
The album “Almost Over” sounds very emotionally and is dark, melancholic as well as also pretty heavy and very tuneful. The guitar-vocal melodies harmonize with the strong dynamics of sharper vocals, guitars riffs and the hits of drums.
The multimedia addition also is on the disc in form of videoclip “Hollow” as well as the photos and various informations about the band.
