Here is the next creature from under the sign of Alkemist Fanatix Europe. Italian label causes that their next position also presents not commonplace music. PROPHEXY is creature from climates of Progressive Rock with strong influence of psychodelia. The album title would suggest that the songs tell about the trips into world of alcoholic hallucinations. Unfortunately I do not know Italian language and I can be only suggested by the title of the album – “Alconauta”. And therefore the alconauta from the title is like an astronaut exploring his internal world under an influence of alcohol. Is such the conception of this album? I do not know…

These eight compositions show the music was inspired by Progressive Rock from 70th. In such music the arrangements swim freely and create many variables of subjects, often surprising rhythmically. And the psychedelic melodies of the keyboards as well as the calm singing of vocalist (which spreads somewhere in a darkness of own hallucinations, illusion and delusions leading this “drunken ship”) are delirious among the complex guitar-percussive of motifs. The audible singing is placed in high tone and it additionally intensifies strange and mysterious mood. For visitors of our portal (especially fans of Metal) I add that the sound of the vocal strongly was associated with old SABBAT.

The whole sounds very oddly, like in delirium. Although this is pretty calm delirium, without uncontrolled madness with small quantity of more aggressive gusts but full the psychedelic hallucinations and the unexpected behaviors. Though music sometimes goes to more sharper regions of Progressive Rock (by expression of stronger guitar-percussive hits). But despite all – the whole is unforeseeable as well as very variable and I underline once again- is very psychedelic. Short moments of melancholy calmness (like a rest during this way full of the sounds) also appear among the arrangements full of oddity.

PROPHEXY creates the music for persons with open mind, for men who are ready to go into world of changed consciousness.
