The album “Vacuum” is the debut of the project PENSEES NOCTURNES and the debut of Parisian label Les the Acteurs De l'Ombre Productions. The first sounds of “Vacuum” sound very peculiarly, because the realization of the music was accomplished by lonely creator – Vaerhon which used the rock instruments as well as the typically classic instruments, like the woodwinds, the strings and the pianos, etc. Though I have an impression that those classic sounds are synthetic and computer, and the only alive instruments are the guitars and the drums
Vaerhon is very inventive in his creativity, because he created the unique connection of Black Metal with Classic Music. Therefore the many phrases remind of ELEND (particularly during fusion of arrangement of Classic Music with the vocals of Black Metal in which predominates a despair and a loneliness than the typical aggression). The frightful screams create the majority of vocal tacts created in the French language. Moreover some phrases of the piano remind of the compositions of Friderick Chopin (these the nostalgic works of the Polish pianist ). Additionally evidently there also are the sharp guitar riffs and the hits of the dynamic drums. Nevertheless these Black Metal tacts mainly create very melancholy and full of suffering mood. Though really the sharp and dynamic phrases full of the madness and the fury create the musical minority here. Furthermore in some places (very seldom) the music goes to the regions of blues and folk music.
The works from the album are long and therefore the music makes an impression hypnotic in some moments. “Vacuum” is very dark and depressive album, which is full of the sadness and the hysterical despair going to the fury sometimes. Certainly I dissuade firmly this music for people with suicidal tendencies PENSEES NOCTURNES invites you for the trip to dark Land of Sadness where Night Thoughts are lurking and where you can go to lose easily and you will not come back
