I would never suppose that Italian metal scene will have a deathcore band. Or just a band which want to be like this. Even if the deathcore genre is not sufficient for RAGESTORM it quite match to them. However in my opinion Italian metallers from RAGESTORM are bit closer to metalcore or melodic death metal than deathcore. But RAGESTORM as a band has lot of impact and death metal fury.

Second official demo album of RAGETORM sets for about twenty minutes. And as far as you are listening to those five songs, you can easily notice that they really want to show you what the RAGESTORM is. So from the beggining, the opening trakc Nothing blows with a deep growling, chugging riff, catchy melodies, and massive clear production.
For the second demo album Someone hears? is quite interesting. Why? It is good to hear that each of five songs on the album are different than other. For example, the opening track is the hit with the loads of melodies and clean vocals. Just to compare with the brutal and almost deathcore song Kamikaze full of breakdowns and massive death metal riffage.

i cant say anything negative about them, cause they present really good skills, and their musicanship is on good level. However unfortunately on Someone Hears? are few disadvantages. Main and the most annoying are (or he is) the clean vocals. In my opinion band should use it less than now. Guy who sings all clean vocals is quite terrible, not at all but actually yes. Sometimes his voice destroys all atmosphere of the song. Kinda shame. In the other hand I appreciate the attemp of clean voice singing and I wish him all the best with his voice. I hope you can explore your voice and try to make it better.

Main vocalist Game has really good and death metal voice. His growling parts are flawless and really raw. He shows how to scream or growl in fast or slow paced parts. Game is one of the highlights of the whole band. Fortunately there are pluses! I think that the strongest element of the RAGESTORM is the solo guitarist. His riffs are really cathy, memorable, melodic and well harmonic.

As for the demo RAGESTORM sounds really good, and I think they can easily look for a record label for them. I suggest you to look in Germany, they love metalcore/melo death. But it's a shame that RAGESTORM is not as good as their country mates NEPTUNE – if they do it might be really awesome. Unfortunately they do not. So Italy will be still dominated by power metal bands.

🙁
