This being a fairly new band to me i went thru the first listen to this disc with a very open mind for I had heard good things about them. Viking metal, I asked myself if it could be done and givin justice and the answer is yes. Viking power metal with a female lead vocal is a refeshing twist. The vocal's take some getting use to due to the rough raspy sound to her voice. Imagine Grave Digger type vocals but by a female. The more you listen to her the more it growes on you. As for the band they deliver the classic German power metal sound with no problem. A great drum sound backed with some great guitar work. An added bonus to this disc is Chris Boltendhai from Grave Digger helping with the vocals on two traks, Tales From The North, and Here We Are. When you listen to this disc just close your eyes and let White Skull take you away to a land far to the north where the vikings rome free and display there power thruout the land. I am glad I stumbled across this band and am looking forward to hearing everything they have in there back catalog.
