This band that hails from New Orleans plays somewhat hot-tempered (= choleric) music. Nothing for the weak ; ) … hardcore, death metal, thrash… you name it.
The band they mainly resemble is Slipknot. They have no percussion but the double bassdrum takes care of the void it has left very well. I like the honest raw, unpolished approach they have. No fancy solos here! Mostly “meat and potatoes-metal” in all it’s glory. Sometimes Vader and Slayer come to mind. The melodic songs sometimes have a slight Life of Agony touch.
An interesting aspect is the growling. There is some sort of melody in it. Sounds like Glen Danzig does it! The melodic vocals are very anguished and bitter and the guy sings in a goth-like manner, somewhat out of tune to create the right mood.
