Dead Soul Tribe is the new band of Buddy Lackey, ex member of the legendary Psychotic Waltz, one of the best progressive bands ever! He has know changed his name to Devon Graves and has moved to Austria from California where he used to live. Many changes in his life but not tremendous ones in his music.
WOODS OF YPRES „Against the Season”
Woods Of Ypres come from Ontario, Canada and they are into black metal in the vein of Darkthrone, Ancient and Satyricon. They have very clever ideas and their music is really interesting.
OLYMPOS MONS „Seven Seas”
Another metal invasion from Finland! Olympos Mons come from the country of the thousand lakes and they are into melodic/symphonic power metal. Influenced by bands like Stratovarius, Gamma Ray and Rhapsody aim at recognition.
INFEKTOR „Ahuar Maiek”
Infektor is a band from Canary Islands and they do exist since 1989! They are into an unusual metal style. Infektor combine thrash and death metal with very clever progressive parts.
IGNIS FATUUS „Traveller”
Ignis Fatuus is a band from Finland and this is their latest demo release. They are into a mixture of death metal with many progressive parts and some keyboards which I do not like.
FUOCO FATUO „Tenebra's Dream”
Fuoco Fatuo is another underground band from Italy. These guys confirm the rule that most Italian bands are into heavy/power metal.
CRYFEMAL „Escucha… la Muerte Persigue”
This is a very special band. Cryfemal are (is would be better as we are talking about a one man’s band) from Spain and they are into black metal but with influences from bands like Molested, Bestial Warlust and Abruptum.
DEAD SOUL TRIBE „A Murder of Crows”
There are albums to listen in group, better if on the car stereo with an enormous loudness, others to use as background for romantic tete à tete meetings. The new album of Dead Soul Tribe instead belongs to another category, the ones of the CDs to listen in the loneliness of one's own room, preferably with the lights out and the earphones well stuck to your ears.
