It is the time about of the premiere of the debut album “Eye For An Eye” by German metal fans from ENFORGED. Earlier, the men released two singles that were on this album.

I don’t know if the musicians are just starting their adventure with music, but they have a lot of ideas for their band. The compositions they create are quite diverse and, above all, very dynamic, heavy with a very strong impact, characteristic of Groove Metal, specifically with a hardcore rumble (simple but aggressive), with thrash-metal fast and peculiarly melodic licks (a bit technical, sometimes atmospheric) and with crushing death-metal riffs.

The range of arrangements is quite wide to such an extent that sometimes it seems as if the songs belong to several different bands. Especially when a variety of vocals appear (from core-screams, thrash-vocals, through garage growling, and ending with pure thrash or melacore singing).

Sometimes the arrangements sound typically for thrash style, with typical melodies, solos and riffs. Another time, very for death style, with crushing motifs, very brutal, and also very groovy with slower paces, but with totally powerful and rhythmic riffs (with bluesy melody of solo guitars). The bass guitar sometimes also marks its presence more clearly, which in turn fuels the hard-core atmosphere.

Of course, there were also choirs, also in two versions, thrash and hardcore. The compositions surprise with their themes, combine metal diversity, combine vocals, combine variable paces. Some topics are really interesting. The thrash-metal ballad with a classic arrangement is a complete surprise – a calm introduction, melodic development, a strong punch at the end and a return to a calm tone.

You can hear various inspirations from PANTERA through sharper themes of METALLICA untill TRIVIUM. I lack consistency a bit in all of this. But that is cool to listen to.
