Scrape Records is a Canadian independent label that has been running its business since 1997 and gathers all genres of bands playing broadly understood Metal music (from its lightest forms, such as Hard Rock, through Heavy Metal, Tharsh Metal, Symphonic Metal, and ending with Death or Grindcore and various modern hybrids). Of course, the music released by Scrape Records is available in a digital version as well as on vinyl or CD. In addition, the store also offers t-shirts…

The proposed “sampler” contains as many as 16 songs, including 12 bands, each with a different musical genre, of course within Metal music. If someone likes such a mish-mash, this is the perfect material…

LOCISTELLAR was the first choice on the sampler. Modern Melodic Metal from Seattle, who are familiar with Thrash Death and Black Metal influences. Then GROSS MISCONDUCT from Vancouver, progressive Groove Metal with elements of brutal Death. After then the heavy-metal HUNTING GIANTS showed its face melodiously but at the same time strong. In turn, ENTITY from Winnipeg is brutal gore-death vapors. Similarly, BOG from Vancouver, but maybe more in slam-death-metal climates. EMPYRIA from Kelowna has appeared here twice with its Hard’n’Heavy repertoire in BLACK SABBATH or JUDAS PRIEST style. OPHELIA FALLING from Vancouver is a representative of symphonic Metal with a woman on the vocal in the NIGHTWISH style. In turn, REBEL PRIEST from Vancouver is a very energetic Hard’n’Heavy / Hair Metal, a bit like the beginnings of IRON MAIDEN, a bit MÖTLEY CRUE. A THE MIGHTY ONE from Vancouver offered a calm, almost balladic dark playing. Seattle’s GREYHAWK kept up the ballad theme with an equally dark Hard Rock song. ARKENFIRE dynamically broke the previous atmosphere with its strong, albeit melodic and galloping Heavy Metal. Then CROWN THE BROKEN made strong and melodic track, very modernist, slightly in djent style but fast, of course extremely Metal with the influence of Death Black and Core. Next HELLCHAMBER from Vancouver in Southern Metal style hit hard, a bit psychedelic. The material was closed with an outro performed by a band from Vancouver, KANASHIBARI, with a minimalist Dark Ambient style…

You will hear there a lot of different music genres, like on some good music radio station.
