In 2005, two brothers Frediani along with a few friends decided to start a band. Initially, the men were playing Epic Power Metal, but after the recording a demo “Angelic Riot” their musical arrangements turned to Heavy Metal. After that the band recorded two next demo “The Metal Goddess” and “Wings of Freedom”. In the meantime, there has been a slight change the line-up and resignation from the keyboards, and the result was recording the first album “Schizophrenia”.

So, what do things characterize schizophrenia? At first glance (or rather at first hearing) I can see a clear split personality (or rather a spilt vocal, which sometimes is strong, screaming, like almost growl and sometimes literally is like falset, as the singing of King Diamond in MERCYFUL FATE or the vocal of Michael Kiske in HELLOWEEN, or even like Bruce Dickinson from IRON MAIDEN). In many places, these multicolored vocal lines overlap to form a polyphonic vocal phrases, accents and background vocals. The various auditory hallucinations are very common symptom in schizophrenia.

A dynamic and often quite rapid progression of the disease with periods of exacerbation and remission are the next attributes of schizophrenia. In this case the attributes are depicted by the typical heavy, dynamic and fast themes of guitars, which sometimes slow down. But they again strike and return with a double force.

Of course a mood and emotions in schizophrenia are dependent on many factors. But usually there are episodes of aggression interspersed with melancholy or dynamic emotional agitation, which was also created in the music of MASTERDOM. Here the aggressive and predatory themes coexist with the rich and specific melody. And it additionaly reflects the wealth of diverse symptoms of schizophrenia.

The exuberant religiosity and a belief in a spiritual world downright fantastic often occur in schizophrenia, which here are manifested by the songs “Werewolf” and “El Diablo”. Furthermore, schizophrenia is associated with speech disorders like applications of foreign words and even whole sentences. Perhaps the previously mentioned Spanish song “El Diablo” was the result of the disorder.

Well, the same as after many years of working with patients with schizophrenia, this disease does not make such an impression on me, so the same after many years of listening of Heavy Metal, various modern Heavy Metal bands do not make such an impression on me as it was once.
