The band was formed in 2001 and remained in the unchanged line up till today. An optimistic forecast for the future, because most of death metal groups sooner or later change their musicians, when looking for some new ideas, fresh air and
ending arguments. The musicians are very experienced, they were involved in many projects, of course from the little-metalic France, especially in CRYSTALIUM and HYSTERIA, where they played different instruments (Matth – bass). Satanic Templars of the Dark Age is their first release.
This short album is like a very small and subtle [sic!] surprise. First of all, it is from France, the country which is not perceived as a metal ground. Secondly, it is a very heavy and brutal, and aggressive piece of death metal, spiced up with black elements. The guitars work perfectly, their sound is much more than just appropriate and everything seems to be in its place. Moreover the sound constantly changes, from fast, dynamic and hard to understand parts, into furious and totally incomprehensible auditions. There are also some changes in the opposite direction, so that a shy hint of a melodic line appears. This album is like a black hellish butterfly, whose wings are sprinkled with dust straight from the all nine circles of hell. Each circle represents a different concept and feature, therefore there are: butchery, incomprehensible content, energy, passion, death, compactness, originality, variety, and finally style. Not to mention fantastic drumm sections, which are totally astonishing, carry the power and simply pulverize. So this album stays in the head and drags straight into the void.
A short EP, but a concept which has been prepared for a long time. An ideal, full of energy, butchery, filled with sick enthusiasm. Satanic Templars of the Dark Age is a little black gem in the infernal French underground.
