Cool songs: Unspeakable Grief, Spit Forth from Failure, Final State Part III

In 1993 three musicians decided to form a band, unfortunately there was not any drummer among them, so they had to use the percussion machine in order to record material. After some perturbations and line up changes, the band managed to persuade Henrik (QUEST OF AIDANCE) to play with them and together they released some material. ‘Indefinite Soul-extension’ is their recent production.

And I must admit, that this is one of the best melodic/death metal production, not looking upon CHILDREN OF BODOM or IN FLAMES. From the very first note it is audible that UNMOORED have their own style, unrepeatable, to which they strongly clutch. ‘Unspeakable Grief’ opens the album in one of the best possible ways – the start is very dynamic and melodic. A fantastic beginning and later on it is very good. Great technical masterpieces which show the artistry of the musicians. Motif and pace changes happen very often, everything is accompanied by cool keyboards parts, and some female pseudo-choirs. The material is very powerful and fleshy and stays this way till the end; even pathetic slow downs are not deprived of power. Copying of own style annoys after some time, some elements (riffs) sound as if they were performed after one fashion. Although, as I stated earlier this is only a slight minus, because the rest is very heavy and interesting.

UNMOORED definitely know how to play good death metal. And everyone who loves such music should listen to this album.
