This has been around for a while now, but this demo is phenomenally good for something the band is allowing people to download for free. The band contains Butch Balich who some of you may know from PENANCE. This is currently the project he’s concentrating on with their full length album soon to be released. The music isn’t exactly the same as PENANCE, but I’m confident that if you’re a fan of PENANCE you’ll probably enjoy this and if you don’t it won’t matter because you won’t have had to spend any money getting this.

The music has doom elements such as CANDLEMASS, but has parts of its influence from 70s hard rock bands like CAPTAIN BEYOND and BLACK SABBATH. It also has great dual guitar of the sort you’d expect from one of the NWOBHM bands from the 80s. The vocals are clear, lyrically its good and the recording quality is excellent. While it may not be going into any new unexplored areas of metal it is good solid heavy metal. If the demo is this quality the full length release should be excellent. But for now we’ll have to get by with this taster. Really this should have been released properly as an EP, its better quality than what most bands will put out as there full length releases.
