In 2002 Asia ‘Xaria’ probably did the best thing she could have done and formed LUMINARIA. She enlisted some helpers and in 2003 they started working upon their first release, which has seen the daylight for the first time in June 2004. The six-songs demo is quite an interesting proposition for any metal maniac.

‘Arche’ starts with one of the best possible ways – with a wonderful mixture of sounds and ideas, mainly taken from some others, but mixed in a new and very original way that anyone would not even dare to interrupt! They sound brilliantly. ‘Intro’ is very pathetic and has some very audible relations with MIKE OLDFIELD and his ‘Tubular Bells’, plus ‘Script For A Jester’s Tear’ by MARILLION (personally, one of my favorites), to finally sound similar to the original soundtrack from the PC game: DIABLO II. And this festival simply pulverizes. Later on, the heavy sounds take the lead and interlace with those fantastic and poetic elements (excellent ‘Imao’). So to speak, it is a good piece of solid gothic metal, reinforced by positive energy which simply bursts from this little piece of plastic. The compositions are very varied and contain hundreds of ideas – they maybe are not so innovative, but surely cheer the heart up and provide great dose of entertainment. Despite some similarities in sound (among some of the songs)there is absolutely nothing to get at.

‘Arche’ is a very good album with slight note of repeating itself. But this does not annoy actually, everything is so perfectly mixed and mastered, the technical level is very high and the atmosphere of the whole is fantastic, that one easily forgets about one or two repeated parts. One last advice – try to combine playing DIABLO II with listening to this album. The effect is absolutely gorgeous. Believe me… I am finishing and going to kill some more demons.
