A moment of holiday pause and I again got the pyre of materials to review from friendly Italian Promotive Agency Alkemist Fanatix Europe. Of course the music proposes by that Agency is mainly base on rock-metal sounds with smaller or larger dose of innovations, although here we will not find the pure classic sounds and patents
And the band is MADWORK, which exists on Italian musical scene from about 2000 year. MADWORK assured me that I more and more began appreciate present Heavy/Power Metal groups from Italy, which mix many different musical inspirations from behind metal regions to their music. Obviously besides Power Metal patents (in aspect the heavy and dynamic guitar parties) here we will meet many climatically samples, loops and keyboards giving lightly the industrial, electronic or else even Nu Metal breath, in addition if the samples, loops and keys will appear together with specific arrangements of the guitars. Besides here is a lot of melody, melancholy climate and nostalgia, what clearly is hearing in ballads, in solo parties and first of all in vocals lines. The color of vocal is like connection of singing of Bono (U2), Nick Holmes (PARADISE LOST “Host ), Geoff Tate (QUEENSRYCHE) and Ronnie James Dio (DIO), so in aim of closer portrayal of the MADWORK's music I boldly affirm that the band in some moments sounds similar (not only the vocals but and instrumentally) to before mentioned the bands. They hereinto added the pinch of progression and motives of classic music yet what in total it gave the really excellent effect.
The whole was listened very pleasantly, here dominate the slow-average paces, and the gentle melancholy climates with element of darkness excel over reasonable and minimum aggression.
