American group ROTT has on one's account the material with 6 tunes. The cd includes inspirations of such teams like TOOL, GODSMACK or LACUNA COIL. I think that the music of ROTT is somewhat less psychedelic, less dark and first of all has more sedate the tempo or musical motives. On the front of group stands Molly – the vocalist and authoress of texts. Unfortunately from the beginning I heard a little failings of vocalist. In her calm, melodious voice is lacks stronger expression and grip on tones. And probably therefore this poor emotionally the way of singing sometimes associated me with some kind of punk rock than with gothic. But I think this for first technical defects, but I hope that at present after 3 years this do not repeat onself. If I mean about only the music then I have to admit that the style of men's play base on heavy riffs what you can to hear in thrash or speed metal. The guitars often are rhythmically damped but they also have chordal passages or melodious rock-gothic solos. The parties of bass here and there more underline one's presence e.g. by using of “chorus”, what favourably come in on variety of a bit poor arrangements. Generally the arrangements oscillating in average tempo but don't devoid the gentle of accelerations or slow down. So again I have to mention about failings what are small loss drummer's rhythm after passages. Again I hope that at present havent't such mistakes. Looking on the whole I feel the small dose of gothic darkness and nostalgia what bring the tracks. However I would add in vocal more emotional expression . For the third time I hope that new material will be more mature.
