Gothic music is a hit or miss genre, and every band on “Dark Stars” is defiantly a miss as far as I am concerned. I love gothic rock but to me you either have it or you don't when it comes to this genre. Nothing on this release comes even close to impressing me at all. The main problem with “Dark Stars” is the music it self, in a lot of the songs the female vocals just don't mix well with the style of music that the bands use. Who ever decided that techno beats worked well with guitars and gothic style vocals needs to be shot. Dark Stars is a sub par collection of artists, and should be avoided at all costs.
