In my opinion IN FLAMES, Anders Friden, Jesper Stromblad, Peter Iwers, Bjorn Gelotte, and Daniel Svensson are the bast thing metal wise that Sweden has going for it right now. The new disc Reroute to Remain stay's true to the In Flames sound but yet it takes the listener on a new and different ride all together. The fourteen tracks on this disc are a great example of conscious insanity I have ever heard. while this disc is totally in your face this disc also has some interesting twists to it.
The guys in the band are starting to show that not only can they shred but they are starting to highlite there song writing ability's and the ability to write musis that dont have to be hard and brutal to be heavy. the piano is a instrument that is used on this disc and used very well. In listining to this disc one can hear speed, thrash, death, goth and simple power metal and it is blended well. The band has matured as well has most of there fans. So this is a MUST HAVE for all serious IN FLAMES fans. this disc gets a 10 out of 10 on my scale. In my opinion this will be one of the best releases of the year when it is all said and done.
