Czech MANIAC BUTCHER returned with seventh album after several years of absence!
I have listened so “old school music” long time ago I felt like I backed off in a time to beginning 90th years of XXth century when I reveled this the type of music… The music full of fury and devilish seizure The horrible intro announced that death will come Then bestial tacts filled the space and sowed a fear and a conflagration The name Maniac Butcher – has associated rather with bloody Death Metal. But the compositions from loudspeakers are in Black Metal style. This is audible in structures of riffs and in characteristic dirty sound of guitars as well as in ominous vocals (sometimes polyphonic) The sharp solos (with special melody) and slower accents sometimes penetrate among the furious riffs This creates the associations with BEHERIT, MAYHEM and DARKTHRONE… in other time with HELLHAMMER (mainly during slower phrases) And therefore the rhythmical differentiation is here, from typical quick thrashing to climatic vocal-guitar decelerations I would say this is the Classic Music (in Black Metal notion) excepting of the element of Death Metal in name of band Moreover I called attention on the tracks titles which are the whole sentences. Such similar intervention happened again from fourth album of MANIAC BUTCHER. However it is not novelty in a world of Black Metal, because some time ago Poland band ARKONA also applied the long titles of tracks…
The music from “Masakr” spreads dark, satanic-mystical climate marked with rapacity and blasphemy MANIAC BUTCHER created in me many retrospection when I was ruthlessly nonconformist rebellious person
