We did not have to wait long for another fresh material of DUAL-COMA. After two well prepared and heavy albums, Decode the Human and Program H.A.T.E. which set their course, the band released a single, proving that their heads are filled with original and very energetic ideas.
Bulletproof Heart represents music quite different from the sounds which we heard on the two previous albums. Decode the Human was more thrash-like and Program H.A.T.E. pulverised with extreme death energy. The new single is again something quite different and that difference is audible from the very first sound: now it is clear that the music is becoming more and more mature, the concepts are gaining not only technical but also mental strength. Everything works just fine, it is visible that DUAL-COMA did their homework well and had even time to build a sandcastle in the playground. It seems that playing good music is something normal for them, that they do it everyday, after breakfast, and go to work, come back home and write another cool composition and go to bed. But do not treat it as a routine, because it is not one of those things which destroys the concepts and ideas. Another difference between this and the previous albums is its lightness, and I do not mean that it is bright. It is less heavy than its ancestors. Somehow the gentlemen decided to record a less complex and heavy music, but with paying more details to the technicalities of sounding. The guitars sound is higher, clear vocals begin to dominate the music and everything is kept more or less in the same pace. It seems that the atmosphere is now clearer and the band can experiment with different sounds and ideas.
As for a single, Bulletproof Heart can be summarised with two words: well done. The material is strong and should consolidate the bands position on the scene. Everything we should do now is to wait for a long play. Wait patiently which is going to be extremely hard, because with this music DUAL-COMA stimulated the appetite till the maximum. The expectations were huge after Program H.A.T.E. and now they are even larger.
The album contains a bonus: the material recorded in MP3 format, pictures of the musicians and video clips of Bulletproof Heart and Cyber God.
