The history of the band started in 2002 and is still developing. The members are engaged in many other musical projects and it is visible, mainly on the band’s official website, which is… a site about essays. Their profile at myspace.com also looks poorly. Not so good… as for beginning.

But the album is a different story. It starts very heavily and this feeling stays with the listener till the end of it. Furious riffs and fingerings just grasp the ear and do not allow it to rest even for a few moments. The music sounds fantastic. The compositions are varied, the ideas do not repeat, it is not a constant hammering, well known from such productions. It is clearly visible and audible that the musicians treat seriously their music, the audience, and themselves. This is one of more interesting positions on death/thrash scene. And everything would be just fine, if it were not for that silly vocal: kill the guy! He spoils the beauty of the music, but the drummer and guitarist (probably Gehlke) save the album.

‘Painted With Utter Desolation’ is a good album, not only for niche fans, but for all ‘metalians’ in the world. It gives joy just for the sake of listening. And even Bonaddio’s singing is unable to prevent that joy to reach the soul. Pure 800 decibels.
